Two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole's trying to forget his past and focus on surviving high school. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil.
A largely formulaic sequel that retreads the first film's satanic cult premise with diminishing returns. The plot recycles beats from the original without meaningful escalation or surprise. Acting is serviceable with some charismatic returning cast members keeping things watchable. Cinematography maintains the stylish, kinetic energy of its predecessor with decent production value. Novelty suffers as the film is essentially a carbon copy of the original concept with new faces, offering little fresh invention. The ending feels rushed and unsatisfying, failing to deliver a memorable payoff.
