While trying to make his sister's wedding day go smoothly, Jack finds himself juggling an angry ex-girlfriend, an uninvited guest with a secret, a misplaced sleep sedative, and the girl that got away in alternate versions of the same day.
Love Wedding Repeat is a Groundhog Day-style wedding comedy that fails to distinguish itself in a crowded genre. The premise of alternate versions of the same wedding day has been done better elsewhere, and the execution here feels mechanical rather than inventive. The cast, including Sam Claflin and Olivia Munn, deliver serviceable performances but aren't given strong enough material to shine. The cinematography is functional at best, offering little visual personality for a romantic comedy set in the picturesque Italian countryside. The ending feels rushed and unearned, typical of the genre's obligatory resolution without the emotional payoff needed. Overall a forgettable entry in the wedding rom-com subgenre.
