After she spends all her money, an evil enchantress queen schemes to marry a handsome, wealthy prince. There's just one problem - he's in love with a beautiful princess, Snow White. Now, joined by seven rebellious dwarves, Snow White launches an epic battle of good vs. evil...
Mirror Mirror is a glossy, visually playful Snow White retelling with some wit in its costume design and Julia Roberts's campy villainess performance, but it largely recycles familiar fairy-tale beats without adding much of substance. The plot is thin and episodic, leaning heavily on comedic set pieces that don't always land. Roberts brings charisma to the Evil Queen, elevating the acting above what the script deserves, and the production design has real flair. However, the film arrived alongside Snow White and the Huntsman and feels like the lighter, less distinctive of the two retellings — its comedic spin is charming but not particularly original. The ending is rushed and unsatisfying, wrapping up conflicts too neatly, and the Bollywood dance number over the credits feels tonally jarring rather than joyfully earned.
