Murder Mystery 2 is a formulaic sequel that largely retreads the same buddy-comedy mystery beats as its predecessor. The plot is serviceable but predictable, hitting familiar whodunit notes without meaningful surprises. Sandler and Aniston have easy chemistry but neither is stretched by the material — the performances are pleasant but unremarkable. The Paris and tropical island settings give the cinematography a glossy, visually appealing sheen that elevates it slightly above the baseline.
