Sara and Nicola are married and in love. Their lives seem to be perfect: they have an angelic six-year-old daughter, thriving careers and a stable marriage. The birth of their second child, which disrupts the family balance, leads to tragicomic scenarios.
Kidz is a fairly standard Italian domestic comedy about the chaos of having a second child. The premise of family disruption through a new baby is well-worn territory, and the film executes it competently but without much distinction. The acting holds things together adequately, but the plot, cinematography, and overall conception feel derivative of many similar European family comedies. Nothing particularly memorable or fresh elevates it above the genre norm.
