A weekend at a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf turns into a nightmare for seven vacationers as they are subjected to fresh-water shark attacks.
Shark Night 3D is a by-the-numbers creature-feature with a laughably thin premise stretched beyond its limits. The plot is riddled with contrivances and absurd villain motivations that undermine any tension. Acting is serviceable at best from an undistinguished young cast. The 3D cinematography is competent but uninspired, offering little beyond the occasional jump scare setup. The snuff-film twist attempts novelty but lands as ludicrous rather than clever. The ending resolves nothing satisfyingly and feels rushed and arbitrary even by genre standards.
