The Quartile Take

Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story is essentially a compilation of three Family Guy episodes stitched together as a direct-to-video film, which limits its cinematic ambition considerably. The plot is thin and episodic rather than a cohesive feature narrative, relying heavily on the existing TV show's formula. The voice cast delivers their usual competent and entertaining performances, which is the film's strongest suit. Cinematography is standard TV animation quality with no meaningful upgrade for the film format. Novelty is low since it's directly derived from the series with no distinctive new creative vision. The ending wraps up predictably without much payoff for the feature-length format.
