Forensic experts scan Pompeii’s victims to investigate why they didn’t escape the eruption.
A solid documentary premise that uses modern forensic scanning to reexamine a well-known historical event. The investigative approach adds genuine interest beyond standard Pompeii coverage, though the dramatic reconstructions feel somewhat formulaic and the conclusions, while informative, don't deliver a truly revelatory payoff. Cinematography is competent but unremarkable for the genre, and the talking-head format keeps acting largely irrelevant — what's present in dramatic recreations is average at best.
