Quartile rating: 6/10 · 1 rating
On Quartile, The Man from Toronto scores 6/10 across five categories — strongest on Plot (Above Average), weakest on Cinematography (Below Average).
A case of mistaken identity forces a bumbling entrepreneur to team up with a notorious assassin known as The Man from Toronto in hopes of staying alive.
The Man from Toronto is a fairly generic mistaken-identity action-comedy that follows a well-worn template. The pairing of Kevin Hart and Woody Harrelson provides some charm but the script is formulaic, the comedic and action beats are predictable, and the film adds little to the genre. Cinematography is competent but unremarkable, the ending resolves tidily without surprise, and the overall concept feels recycled from countless buddy-comedy predecessors. A solidly mediocre entry across all categories.
