Ducoboo is a light French family comedy based on a popular Belgian comic strip about a lovable dunce. The film is harmless and occasionally charming but largely formulaic in its episodic school-based humor. The plot is thin and predictable, the acting is functional rather than memorable, and the cinematography is flat and TV-movie in quality.
