Ted's standout quality is its sheer novelty — a raunchy R-rated comedy built around a foul-mouthed living teddy bear is a genuinely singular premise executed with real comedic commitment. Mark Wahlberg and Mila Kunis deliver solid, charming performances that ground the absurdity, and Seth MacFarlane's voice work is a highlight. However, the plot is formulaic at its core (man-child must choose between best friend and girlfriend), following a predictable rom-com structure despite its outrageous wrapping.
