When a young couple buys their dream home, they have no idea what the sweet little old lady upstairs is going to put them through!
Duplex is a mid-tier dark comedy that relies heavily on escalating slapstick and a fairly predictable premise. Ben Stiller and Drew Barrymore bring charm and comedic timing but the material doesn't stretch them. The cinematography is functional but unremarkable. The twist ending gives it a slight lift but the overall concept feels recycled from similar neighbor-from-hell comedies. It's watchable but formulaic.
