Rise of the Titans wraps up the Tales of Arcadia trilogy with ambitious scope but stumbles on execution. The plot feels rushed and overstuffed, trying to service too many characters from three series simultaneously. The controversial ending — which essentially resets much of what the franchise built — drew significant fan backlash for undercutting emotional investment. The animation quality is solid Netflix 3D work but not particularly distinctive. Voice acting is competent across the large ensemble cast. As a conclusion to a beloved franchise, it disappoints more than it delivers, leaning on familiar beats without the freshness of the original Trollhunters series.
