A woman's life is turned upside-down when a dangerous man gets a hold of her lost cell phone and uses it to track her every move.

The Quartile Take

Unlocked (2023) is a competent South Korean thriller built around a timely premise of smartphone vulnerability and digital stalking. The plot is engaging and well-paced, though it follows fairly predictable thriller conventions once the setup is established. The acting is solid across the board, with the leads delivering credible performances within the genre framework. Cinematography is clean and functional, typical of polished Korean commercial cinema. The novelty is limited — the core concept of a lost phone enabling a stalker is a well-worn premise (it's also a remake), and while the execution is slick, it doesn't distinguish itself significantly from similar technothrillers. The ending delivers satisfying closure with some decent twists, keeping the tension alive through the finale.
