A reformed sociopath heads to a remote island after the death of his brother. Soon after his arrival, the island falls under siege from a deadly gang of mercenaries, and when he discovers their role in his brother’s demise, he sets out on a relentless quest for vengeance.
Dangerous is a formulaic action-thriller that offers little to distinguish itself from countless similar revenge-on-an-island narratives. The reformed sociopath premise is mildly interesting but is never developed with enough depth or originality to stand out. Acting is serviceable at best, with performances that rarely elevate the generic material. Cinematography is competent but unremarkable, typical of mid-budget direct-to-video productions. The ending follows predictable genre conventions without any surprising twists or emotional resonance. Overall, a by-the-numbers entry in a crowded genre.
