On a mission to make Christmas unforgettable for Quill, the Guardians head to Earth in search of the perfect present.
A lightweight but charming MCU holiday one-off. The central gag — Drax and Mantis kidnapping Kevin Bacon — is genuinely funny and leans into the Guardians' absurdist humor well. Acting is solid, with Bautista and Pom Klementieff stealing every scene. Cinematography is competent MCU fare, nothing exceptional. Novelty gets a slight bump for being a genuinely committed holiday special format within the superhero space, though the concept is thin. The ending wraps up too quickly and sentimentally without much payoff, feeling rushed even at its short runtime.
