A direct-to-Disney+ spinoff of the Ice Age franchise, The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is a largely formulaic entry that recycles familiar characters and settings without adding much new. The plot is thin and predictable, the animation quality is noticeably downgraded from theatrical entries, and the voice cast delivers competent but unremarkable performances. Buck remains the most entertaining element, but even his antics feel recycled. The Dinosaur World setting had more novelty in Ice Age 3, and this film fails to expand on it in meaningful ways. A passable but uninspired family adventure that sits comfortably in mediocrity across the board.
