The tale of an ordinary garden snail who dreams of winning the Indy 500.
Turbo is a competent but formulaic underdog sports story — a snail dreams big, gets superpowers, faces ridicule, and triumphs. The premise of a racing snail is charmingly absurd and gives it a modest novelty bump, but the plot hits every predictable beat without surprise. Voice acting is solid with a strong ensemble cast (Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson, Paul Giamatti). Cinematography is serviceable DreamWorks animation — colorful and energetic but not visually distinctive. The ending resolves exactly as expected with no earned emotional payoff beyond the generic, making it forgettable despite the fun setup.
