Secret Headquarters is a competent but formulaic family superhero adventure. The plot hits predictable beats with the father-son dynamic and kid-heroes tropes offering little surprise. Acting from the young cast is serviceable and Owen Wilson brings some charm, but nothing stands out as exceptional. Cinematography is standard blockbuster-lite fare with decent production values for its budget. The concept of kids discovering a superhero lair has been done in various forms before, keeping novelty low. The ending wraps up neatly but without much impact or memorability.
