Quartile rating: 7/10 · 1 rating

Zed and Addison are beginning their final year at Seabrook High in the town that’s become a safe haven for monsters and humans alike. Zed is anticipating an athletic scholarship that will make him the first Zombie to attend college, while Addison is gearing up for Seabrook’s first international cheer-off competition. Then suddenly, extraterrestrial beings appear around Seabrook, provoking something other than friendly competition.

The Quartile Take

Z-O-M-B-I-E-S 3 is the third entry in Disney Channel's musical franchise, and while it introduces aliens as a new wrinkle, the overall formula remains familiar and predictable — monsters vs. humans tolerance allegory, cheerleading competitions, and feel-good resolution. The plot is thin even by franchise standards, adding aliens without meaningfully deepening the world. Acting is serviceable from the young cast but rarely transcends the broad, high-energy style typical of DCOM productions. Cinematography is reasonably polished for a TV movie, with colorful production design and decent choreography staging. Novelty is low — it recycles the franchise's own formula while leaning on an alien addition that feels grafted on rather than inspired. The ending resolves everything tidily and without surprise, as expected.
