Quartile rating: 6/10 · 1 rating
One woman's journey for self-discovery and turns into a harrowing tale of survival.
Infinite Storm has a solid survival premise carried mostly by Naomi Watts' committed physical performance and some genuinely striking mountain cinematography that captures the brutal New Hampshire winter landscape with real menace. However, the plot is fairly thin — the mystery of the rescued stranger is underdeveloped and the film leans heavily on familiar survival-drama conventions without adding much new. The ending, which attempts emotional resonance through a real-life reveal, feels slightly deflating rather than earned, as the dramatic framework hasn't built sufficient investment in the characters' backstories. The cinematography is the film's clearest strength, with the snowbound wilderness sequences delivering visceral, immersive tension.
