Travis Block is a shadowy Government agent who specializes in removing operatives whose covers have been exposed. He then has to uncover a deadly conspiracy within his own ranks that reaches the highest echelons of power.
Blacklight is a by-the-numbers action thriller that offers little beyond familiar genre conventions. Liam Neeson plays yet another grizzled government operative in a role indistinguishable from several of his recent films. The conspiracy plot is predictable and underwritten, the action sequences are competently but unremarkably staged, and the film adds nothing new to the undercover agent or government conspiracy subgenre. The ending resolves without surprise or emotional resonance. A thoroughly mediocre entry in Neeson's late-career action cycle.
