American Pie Presents: The Naked Mile (2006)

Quartile rating: 5/10 · 1 rating

When Erik Stifler realizes that he's the only Stifler family member who might graduate high school a virgin, he decides to live up to his legacy. After some well-meaning advice from Jim's dad, Erik's ready to take his chances at the annual and infamous Naked Mile race, where his devoted friends and some uninhibited sorority girls will create the most outrageous weekend ever.

The Quartile Take

A formulaic direct-to-video spin-off that recycles the American Pie brand with diminishing returns. The plot is thin and predictable, hitting the same crude coming-of-age beats as its predecessors with no fresh angle. Acting is serviceable at best from a largely unknown cast. Cinematography is flat and TV-movie quality. Novelty is very low — it's a by-the-numbers sequel rehashing familiar gags and character archetypes from the original series. The ending resolves predictably with no emotional payoff.
