Hobbs has Dominic and Brian reassemble their crew to take down a team of mercenaries; Dominic unexpectedly gets sidetracked with facing his presumed deceased girlfriend, Letty.
Fast & Furious 6 is a solidly entertaining but increasingly bloated entry in the franchise. The plot is formulaic even by series standards, leaning heavily on convoluted twists and the Letty resurrection arc that strains credulity. Acting is functional at best — the cast has chemistry but little dramatic range is demanded or delivered. Cinematography delivers the series' trademark kinetic action sequences, including the memorable runway finale and tank sequence, which are well-staged if over-the-top. Novelty is low — by the sixth installment, the formula is deeply entrenched, offering little that feels distinctive beyond escalating set-piece scale. The ending earns credit for its mid-credits Han reveal tying into Tokyo Drift, a genuinely clever franchise maneuver that generated real excitement.
