Eccentric aliens give a man the power to do anything he wants to determine if Earth is worth saving.
Absolutely Anything is a largely forgettable sci-fi comedy with a familiar 'ordinary man gets godlike powers' premise that doesn't do much original with the concept. The plot meanders without strong comedic or dramatic payoff, relying heavily on obvious wish-fulfillment gags. The cast — including Simon Pegg and the voice of Robin Williams as the dog — brings some charm, but the material rarely lets them shine. Visually it's serviceable but unremarkable, with modest production values. The ending wraps up predictably without much wit or surprise. The Monty Python alumni voicing the aliens is a fun touch but not enough to elevate the film meaningfully above average.
