Daniel Craig candidly reflects on his 15 year adventure as James Bond. Including never-before-seen archival footage from Casino Royale to the upcoming 25th film No Time To Die, Craig shares his personal memories in conversation with 007 producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
Being James Bond is a warm but slight farewell documentary. Craig's candid reflections and the archival footage offer genuine emotional resonance, particularly for Bond fans, and his chemistry with Wilson and Broccoli feels authentic. However, the format is fairly conventional as a promotional retrospective — it doesn't push into deep critical territory or reveal much beyond surface-level nostalgia. Cinematography is serviceable, leaning on existing Bond footage rather than original visual craft. Novelty is limited as behind-the-scenes actor retrospectives are a well-worn format. The ending, coinciding with Craig's emotional sendoff at No Time To Die, carries real feeling and is its strongest moment.
