South Park: Post COVID is a genuinely distinctive special that fast-forwards the boys into middle age in a bleak, pandemic-scarred future, showing real creative ambition and sharp satirical novelty in its long-form concept. The plot is engaging and biting in true South Park fashion, with recognizable voice performances carrying the familiar irreverent energy. Cinematography is functional animation with no particular visual ambition beyond the show's standard style. The ending is deliberately left unresolved as a cliffhanger leading into Part 2, which undercuts its satisfaction as a standalone experience.
