South Park: Post COVID: The Return of COVID (2021)

Quartile rating: 7.5/10 · 1 rating

If Stan, Kyle and Cartman could just work together, they could go back in time to make sure Covid never happened. But traveling back to the past seems to be the easy answer until they meet Victor Chaos.

The Quartile Take

The second part of South Park's COVID special wraps up the time-travel storyline with the show's trademark satirical bite and irreverent humor. The plot is more cohesive than part one and delivers on its comedic promises, though it remains constrained by its TV movie format. Voice performances are reliably sharp from the veteran cast. Cinematography is functional animation consistent with South Park's deliberately flat aesthetic — nothing exceptional. The COVID satire felt somewhat fresher in part one, making this installment feel slightly more formulaic as a continuation, though Victor Chaos adds some memorable absurdity. The ending resolves the arc with a characteristically cynical South Park punchline that satisfies fans without being particularly groundbreaking.
