A Witness Protection specialist becomes suspicious of his co-workers when dealing with a case involving high-tech weapons.
Eraser is a mid-90s Schwarzenegger action vehicle that delivers competent but formulaic thrills. The plot is a generic conspiracy thriller with predictable twists and a by-the-numbers rogue-agent narrative. Arnold's acting is serviceable but wooden, and the supporting cast offers little distinction. Cinematography is polished and professional for a big-budget Hollywood production of its era, with some decent action staging. The railgun gimmick adds a mild novelty touch but the film is otherwise derivative of countless similar thrillers. The ending wraps up tidily with no real surprises, following the expected blockbuster formula to the letter.
