While his girlfriend is away on a trip, retired assassin Bang Ui-kang is tasked with looking after her friend's 17-year-old daughter. After a street attack, Bang Ui-kang becomes embroiled in a murder investigation and dangerous trafficking gang.
This Korean action-thriller is a competent but fairly formulaic entry in the retired-assassin-protects-innocent subgenre. The plot follows well-worn genre conventions without significant deviation. Acting is serviceable and professional but unremarkable. Cinematography is solid Korean mainstream fare without distinctive visual flair. Novelty suffers as the premise closely echoes countless similar films in the genre. The ending resolves things adequately without leaving a memorable impression.
