Cinematography is standard Netflix documentary fare — competent talking-head setups and archival footage with little visual ambition. Acting (interview subjects and participants) is earnest but uneven, with some subjects more compelling than others. Novelty is above average given the specific and deeply unsettling nature of the crime, though the documentary format itself is fairly conventional. The ending is sobering — Cline faced minimal legal consequences, which is both infuriating and thematically resonant — landing above average as a conclusion that leaves a lasting impression without fully satisfying.
