Elektra the warrior survives a near-death experience, becomes an assassin-for-hire, and tries to protect her two latest targets, a single father and his young daughter, from a group of supernatural assassins.
Elektra is a largely forgettable superhero spin-off that fails to capitalize on its potentially interesting protagonist. The plot is thin and poorly paced, the acting is wooden even from Jennifer Garner, the cinematography is unremarkable and flat, and the film offers little that distinguishes it from other mid-2000s superhero efforts. The villain group The Hand lacks menace and the ending resolves things in a perfunctory, unsatisfying way. It earns no genuine standout category across the board.
