When the sky really is falling and sanity has flown the coop, who will rise to save the day? Together with his hysterical band of misfit friends, Chicken Little must hatch a plan to save the planet from alien invasion and prove that the world's biggest hero is a little chicken.
Chicken Little is a largely forgettable early Disney CG effort that struggles across most dimensions. The plot awkwardly mashes a classic folk tale with an alien invasion premise, resulting in tonal inconsistency and thin character development. The voice acting is competent but unremarkable, with no standout performances. The cinematography/animation is passable for 2005 but already dated compared to Pixar's output of the same era. The concept had some novelty potential but executes its hybrid premise in a formulaic, by-the-numbers way. The ending resolves too neatly and rushes through emotional beats. A mediocre entry that sits below average across the board.
