The Quartile Take

Odds and Evens is a lightweight Italian buddy comedy (Pari e dispari) featuring Terence Hill and Bud Spencer in their familiar double act. The plot is formulaic — a mismatched pair teaming up to take down criminals — offering little beyond what the duo had done in previous films. The acting charm of Hill and Spencer carries the film and keeps it watchable, but the cinematography is unremarkable and the story beats are predictable. The Florida setting adds mild novelty but the overall execution is by-the-numbers for the genre and the pairing.
