Quartile rating: 6/10 · 1 rating
In the present day, three friends to make ends meet invent a "criminal tour" for the places which were scenes of the Banda della Magliana criminal acts, even with vintage clothes. Suddenly they are catapulted in the 1982, during the Spain World Cup, facing the real Banda della Magliana, which at that time had the control over illegal bets.
A moderately inventive Italian comedy that blends time-travel with true-crime history (the Banda della Magliana) and the nostalgia of the 1982 World Cup. The premise is genuinely quirky and culturally specific, earning it some novelty points, but the execution is uneven. The plot holds together just well enough to carry the concept without fully capitalizing on its comedic or dramatic potential. Acting is serviceable but unremarkable, and the cinematography is functional at best — nothing visually distinctive. The ending fails to deliver a satisfying payoff to the time-travel premise, leaving the film feeling slight. Overall a curious but middling effort that lands close to its modest reputation.
