The Quartile Take

The Immature is a Turkish comedy with a fun nostalgic premise — middle-aged men forced to relive high school — that gives it a reasonably fresh local spin on the reunion/regression comedy format. The ensemble cast delivers likable performances that keep the energy up, and the plot mines decent laughs from the generational clash between the characters' current lives and their teenage past. Cinematography is functional at best, typical of mainstream Turkish comedies of the era with little visual distinction. The ending feels rushed and conventional, wrapping things up too neatly without much earned emotion. Overall a solid, crowd-pleasing domestic comedy but not a standout beyond its appealing concept.
